Utah Campus Crusade for Christ, Salt Lake City, Utah

Chris and Traci’s mission field is the region of the United States where Mormonism is the dominant faith.  Since their marriage in 2007 they have served on the administrative team of Utah Campus Crusade, a student-led organization that is active on 10 Utah campuses.  Campus Crusade exists to help students grow in their relationships with Christ and each other while pursuing biblical truth.

As an undergraduate student at Washington State University, Chris was involved with Campus Crusade.  Following his graduation he interned with Campus Crusade in Alaska.  Traci joined the Utah Campus Crusade team in 2005, and Chris transferred there after they were married.

Chris and Traci labor to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with college students, to organize Bible studies and to promote and support student-led campus ministry in a variety of ways.  Each fall their ministry is focused on getting to know incoming freshman students, seeking opportunities to introduce them to Christ, to plug them into Campus Crusade, and to help them connect with a good church.  They recently completed a fall retreat with students from the University of Utah and Utah State University.  In the 2008-2009 school year Chris was blessed with an opportunity to minister to University of Utah football players through a Bible study for athletes.

In the summer of 2009 Chris and Traci participated in an outreach ministry targeting campuses in Venezuela.  They are looking forward to being on the staff of the Salt Lake City Summer Project in the summer of 2010.

Please pray with them for fruitful evangelistic and discipleship ministry this year and for clear leading regarding their future with Campus Crusade.

Updates

  • April - May 2010
    Hey everybody,

    First off, we found out that our baby is a boy!  If you've run into my mom, then you already know.  This will be the last prayer letter and gives the details about our future in Texas.  We're hoping to make it up to Spokane sometime next spring, so we look forward to introducing our new little boy to all of you.

  • March 2010 Hey everybody,

    The letter is our March ministry update, but we have some bigger news to share this month.  Traci is 12 weeks pregnant.  We wanted to keep it quiet until she finished the first trimester, but things are looking really good with the baby so far.  We were pretty shocked initially, but now we're really excited to start our family.

    You can give a big congrats to the future grandparents too when you see them!

    Hey all,

    It was good to see many of you after Christmas.  Our winter travels were a whirlwind that finished out with our annual conference in Portland.  Back in Salt Lake, we're in our third week of the spring semester and it is starting to set in the we've only got 4 more months in Utah!

    We really appreciate your prayers as we look to finish strong here.
